DVCAI Vibe Collective is the membership program of Diaspora Vibe Cultural Arts Incubator. DVCAI Vibe Collective is an opportunity to support the mission of DVCAI and become a core part of our community. Membership includes insider access to DVCAI core programs, Caribbean Crossroads Series, Artist-In Residence programs, and special celebrations with grassroots power building.

Depth Of Identity: Art as Memory and Archive: The show is a contemplation of interpersonal relationships between citizens and between states and their constituents and ways humans interact with the environment. Lindsay, Woods, Mattai, and Tilala Fall celebrate Afro Caribbean, Indo-Caribbean, African American, and African identities. They weave elements of Trinidadian, South Carolinian, East Indian, and Senegalese material culture into their celebratory narratives. Davis, Myung-Sik, Tosari, Yantis, Métura, Holder, and Arrate Hechavarria focus on the correlation between nature and creativeness. They praise the ecosystem for providing and inspiring.

Diaspora Art From The Creole City
Inter | Sectionality: Diaspora Art from the Creole City is a bold, multidisciplinary curatorial collaboration and exploration of the emergence of the “Creole City” as a local, regional and global phenomenon. Internationally recognized curators Sanjit Sethi, President, Minneapolis College of Art and Design and former director of the Corcoran School of the Arts and Design, and Rosie Gordon-Wallace, founder and curator of Diaspora Vibe Cultural Arts Incubator (DVCAI), have designed this collaboration to provide a lens through which communities and community leaders internationally can begin to better understand themselves, their diversity, and their unlimited possibilities.Inter | Sectionality: Diaspora Art from the Creole City is presented in our nation’s capital at a time when diaspora artists and voices are challenging social justice, celebrating identities, and reactivating and bridging communities through contemporary art and scholarship. The complexities and diversities represented by this exhibit are emergent and, in many cases, ascendant across the world.
Rhythm Reboot
Chromatic Cogitations: Rhythm Reboot brings together thirty-one artistic voices that employ a variety of colors, images, and artistic strategies to reset the rhythm of their individual practices.
Viewed collectively, their work responds to shifting political and societal pressures while referencing art historical positions from the 1970s through today that mobilized postcolonial movements, the recognition of outsider art, and formed expressions of radical social emancipation.
Their content includes passionate responses to climate change, ecosystem loss, blackness and masculinity, heritage, legacy, hierarchy, and the emergence of gender stories that have hitherto been silenced and rendered invisible.
